A360 Release: Better File Previews, Markup Enhancements, and More

We’ve made some major upgrades to your A360 experience, including many markup enhancements, a redesigned comment feed, and desktop notifications for file upload completion. The most notable improvements for A360 Drive users are upgraded in-browser file preview and publicly shared links that open within an upgraded look and feel.

3D Measurement Enabled for Fusion Designs

We’ve added the ability to measure within 3D Fusion files. Currently this is limited to Fusion files, and we will be rolling out this feature for more file types in the future.

Markup  Enhancements

Markup has a new set features, including a cloud revision tool, a circle drawing tool, and the comments panel now expands after a user submits a markup.

Comments Feed Redesign

The comments panel redesign improves the look of word wrapping and numbered markers. The comment count is also grouped by version, giving users insight into which comment belongs to which version. The item overview page carries these improvements as well: clicking on a comment opens that comment in the immersive view.

Upload Display and Notifications

Instead of waiting for a file to upload blindly, now you can see progress on the thumbnail as it happens; the thumbnail displays images of the uploaded portions of the file as they are processed. In addition, you can enable desktop notification to appear when the uploaded file is ready to view.

Hello, I am new to A360 Viewer. I am most interested in the “Mark-up” option; I downloaded the app onto my cell and I see the mark-up tool there when I open a CAD drawing, but on my desktop that option is not there. Our field crews take their laptops into the field and I was wondering if there was a way for them to mark-up a drawing from their laptop. Also, when marking-up a drawing on my cellphone I could not find a ‘Save’ option anywhere, and when I pulled the same drawing up from my computer my mark-ups were not there under the comments section. I was wondering if anyone could help me better understand this. Thanks!
